Testimonials From Past Clients
I first met Zack when I was living in Florida on a Flats Fly fishing forum. He was just beginning his career as a guide in the Keys and in Alaska on the Mighty Kenai River as I call it. I was very interested in fly fishing in Alaska as I had never been there. To make a long story short I have fished every year with him for many years with the exception of just a few, along with a few times in the Keys for Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit. And yes the tarpon were terrifying, the bonefish were ghosting us, and the Permit were busting my line. Which to me is always about the bite rather than the cheesy smile pic after landing these beasts. I am not a meat fisherman and Zack was the kind of guide that met all my expectations. I have watched him grow in stature in this tough business juggling between two extreme areas of the world along with his family life.
Now to the Mighty Kenai River! This river holds monster Arctic Char, big football sized rainbow trout, and monster Silvers targeted on streamer flies. Zack has never let me down and believe me we have been in some precarious situations that would make your hair stand on end, but he always managed to put me on fish in spite of Mother Nature's fickleness on this gorgeous river of Alaska. One of my fondest memories was catching three Rainbows sized 28”, 29”, and a trophy 30” within a few hours. My favorite quote is “we do not remember days, we remember moments”, and I have many that Zack has helped me gain in my life.
Zack will tell you that the fishery is sacred here and he has always been respectful of it. He knows this river so well that he could probably row it in his sleep and put you on the many quiet waters along the sides for those monster silvers.
If you've never been fly fishing before he will have you catching fish in no time at all. His patience with newcomers is second to none, and I will always highly recommend him for his professionalism and abilities with all aspects of this wonderful fishery.

Thanks for all the help you provided. June and I floated with Dom and what can you say about him – he was so personal and professional. He was very patient with us as my wife and I had never floated for trout. We have recommended your service to many friends who have used you in June, July, August and September and they have nothing but good things to say I know a few of them have been repeat customers. Again, you are an outstanding guide service and I will always recommend you to others.

Thanks again for another truly memorable experience an the Kenai yesterday. I can not relate on words alone how highly I respect you skill, knowledge, and professionalism. There is no doubt in my mind that Alaska Clearwater Fishing is the class act of the Kenai River. Whether our success is good or not, I always go away with the feeling that you have tried your very best to produce results. Yesterday’s results speak for themselves; my wife’s 62 pound King and my 52 pound King in less than three hours of fishing was a perfect finish to the King Salmon season. I want you to know that your efforts are sincerely appreciated. See you in September or October for some trout fishing!

What fantastic memories I have of our day on the river. Thanks so much Dom, for putting the day together and helping me catch a big one. I’ve got plenty of ‘warm’ memories of the bear, wolf, eagles, decaying salmon, aqua water and your subtle boat maneuvers perching us right on the good spots.

Dan, time has a bad habit of disappearing quickly in my new job but I would be remiss if I did not take some time, even though a little late, to say thanks for a wonderful day of fishing. Your patience with my lack of skills was greatly appreciated. I definitely want to make some time to do this again and I will be sure to contact you. Can’t believe anyone does it better! Respectfully,
C. Songer
Dominic, sorry it took so long to send you a couple pics. We had great time with you in Alaska. I am still blown away at the fish you catch up there on a fly line!! Thank you so much for the awesome time.

Hi Dan, This is S. Donahue. My brothers and I had a really good time with you this fall. We are wondering if you have any openings during the two weekends on June or thereabouts. We would like to catch a couple of 100 pound kings each. Is this a good time to fish ? Please let me know.

My grandson and I enjoyed our King Salmon fishing trip with you last July. Tyler is very proud of his 44 pound King. We look forward to many more trips on the future!
